The Parish Church of San Bartolomeo is an ancient place of worship located in the municipality of Chiusdino, nestled in the picturesque landscape of the Sienese hills.
The first historical documents relating to it date back to 1189.
In 1524, it underwent a major restoration by the Spannocchi family, followed by further modifications in the early 19th century and the late 1930s.
The building once housed valuable works, including a Madonna and Child by a 16th-century Sienese sculptor, now housed in the Civic and Diocesan Museum of Sacred Art of San Galgano.
The parish church is located near the site of the ancient Pentolina castle, a short distance from the famous Abbey of San Galgano.
