The structure of the building, dating from the twelfth century, is of great suggestion for the linear simplicity: the façade in large drafts incorporates the square bell tower, surmounted by a lunette on the portal are the eyes that gave light inside, forms equally simple with a trussed roof. The church belonged to the polychrome wooden crucifix, a masterpiece of Marco Romano, carved in the early fourteenth century, the sculpture stands out for the high drama caught in the throes altering the face of the suffering Christ and the anatomical naturalism emphasized by notations of the chest.
